Production Blog: Protagonist ideas

The selection of the protagonist becomes the central focus at this pivotal stage in the creation of our music video. The critical decision revolves around whether to involve anyone other than myself. This decision carries immense significance as we delve into the first storyboard scenario, set against a serene beach with an enthralling sunrise, peacefully breaking waves, and a sky adorned with the beauty of nature.

The primary debate centers on whether I should cast myself, the sole creator, to bring forth my own unique ideas and energy, or opt to go solo without any additional individuals. This decision shapes the essence of our video. The chosen scene, featuring a captivating dawn on a tranquil beach, promises a breathtaking start to our film. It harmoniously blends the elements of music and nature, creating an ideal backdrop. The serene beach setting perfectly complements Bob Marley's reggae rhythms, infusing a calming, reggae-inspired ambiance.

The rhythmic crashing of the waves adds depth and rhythm to the scene, enhancing the reggae vibe we intend to convey. As the protagonist, I embody the video's central message of hope and unity, shining against the backdrop of the ever-shifting hues of the morning sky. Casting myself as the protagonist reinforces the project's core theme of togetherness, symbolizing self-reliance and unity. Conversely, this choice offers an opportunity to convey Bob Marley's global themes, demonstrating that unity transcends external factors. An essential consideration in the decision-making process is the depth of emotion I can infuse into the scene. The ultimate choice hinges on a finely tuned balance between artistic potential, personal connection, and alignment with the video's overarching message.
